3-522  Wild Animals

It is unlawful to own, harbor, exhibit, keep or permit to be kept any wild animal except small rodents such as hamsters, guinea pigs, or gerbils, nonvenomous snakes and birds which are otherwise permitted under provisions of State or Federal law. Zoological gardens, theatrical exhibits, licensed falconers, circuses, legally incorporated educational institutions, private governmental research laboratories, veterinarians, licensed animal rehabilitators, and similarly trained and licensed professional handlers are exempt from this section
