  URA Needs Volunteers!
The URA/ Main Street
Agency is seeking volunteers for the design and organizational
committees. The design committee is responsible for improving the image
of downtown Rock Springs by enhancing its physical appearance. The
organizational committee brings downtown stakeholders together to build
cooperation in the revitalization of downtown. If you are interested in
volunteering for either of these committees please contact the URA /
Main Street Office at 352-1434.
Spring 2008 Main Street Newsletter Available
 People in Rock Springs don't think of themselves
as "urban" considering the vast unpopulated desert and mountains that surround
the town. However, the city does experience the issues and opportunities
of other urban areas. Our town's newest commission is busy dealing with
one of those issues, urban renewal, and working to bring new life to the
downtown areas that have been left behind by the rapid development going
on at the town's west end.
Mission:
Through community volunteers, private business,
and government partnership the
Rock Springs Main Street Program
Urban Renewal Agency will organize, implement and facilitate the
promotion, design and economic growth of
Historic Downtown Rock Springs and the Renewal District.
